College Bound Mental Health

A STEADIER WAY FORWARD
More than symptom management.
Your child is not a diagnosis. They are a whole person standing at the edge of an important transition.
CollegeBound Mental Health pairs rigorous psychiatric care with a deep understanding of academic pressure, family dynamics, and the skills young people need to live independently. The goal is not simply to get through this semester—it is to build lasting confidence and capacity.
"Is my child struggling — or just being challenged?"
One of the most common questions parents ask me isn't about medication or diagnosis. It's about finding the right balance.
That tension is real, and it deserves a thoughtful answer — one that takes your child's mental health and their future seriously at the same time.

Healthy Minds.
Bright Futures.
Psychiatric care for adolescents and young adults, with a focus on mental wellness, academic success, and college readiness.
What if my child doesn't want to go to college?
College is a path, not the destination.
While my practice is designed specifically for the college bound teens and the unique pressures that come with that path, I work with each family individually. If your child's path looks different, or changes along the way, I'll meet them where they are, help align realistic expectations within the family, and support whatever next chapter makes sense.
Exploring a World of Possibilities!
About Me.
I have always been passionate about helping young people develop the confidence, resilience, and emotional well-being they need to thrive both in school and beyond.
Before becoming a psychiatrist, I worked as a swim coach, math tutor, and student counselor. Those experiences taught me early that success in school is about far more than intelligence. Confidence, emotional well-being, executive functioning, resilience, and a sense of purpose all shape whether a young person is able to thrive — not just academically, but in life.
I completed my training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Yale, where I also served as the psychiatrist for Branford High School. Being embedded inside a school community gave me a firsthand view of how academic pressure, mental health, and adolescent development intersect in ways that are easy to miss from the outside.
I also worked in a college advising office during my undergraduate years, and I am currently completing a certification in college admissions counseling through UC Berkeley Extension. That training isn't something I offer as a separate service — it informs how I understand the pressures my patients are actually living with, and gives me tools to support the identity formation and self-reflection that are so central to this stage of life.
My work focuses on adolescents and young adults navigating ADHD, anxiety, depression, academic stress, and the transition to college and adulthood. I aim to provide care that goes beyond symptom reduction — helping young people build the foundation they need to move forward with clarity and confidence.
